Again a “child missing” story

It happened when I was four years old, when my cousin Shina was born.. She was born in the same hospital where I was born (Indeed, a legendary hospital!!)..

In those days, child-missing was very common and searching was difficult sans mobile phones and social media.. Here is my second missing story which made my over-protective mom heart-broken again..

Birth of Baby Shina

That morning, mootha mummy gave birth to this cute baby girl who remained normal-sized for the initial few months.. After starting complementary feed, our granny transformed her into a jumbo-sized baby with multiple packs in abs.. Thanks to brittania biscuits!!

Okay, come to my story.. Back then, I used to follow Anna Shery wherever he goes.. As mentioned in one of my earlier posts, I used to believe whatever others said.. Innocence at its peak!!

Trip to wonderland

On the day Shina was born, Anna Shery promised me a visit to wonderland near the hospital.. He said that he was first taken to that spot by uncle Rob.. So the explorer in me thought of paying a visit to that place without my stopper mom’s permission..

There were giant rocks near the hospital building.. We reached there and started climbing the rocks.. I remember a narrow ditch on the way and anna Shery helped me cross that.. Finally we reached the peak and exchanged proud faces…

Annamalai’s room

There was a room with a balcony, attached to the hospital building, close to where we were standing.. Anna Shery surprised me telling“this is where Annamalai resides”.. He referred superstar Rajinikanth as Annamalai(tamil movie character).. Every school kid was unanimously a Rajinikanth fan then..

So we were curiously waiting and staring at the door to open and Mr.Annamalai to make his appearance, but in vain.. When we were about to climb down, we could see a crowd led by an anxious lady, walking towards the rocks..

“Ohh.. Wait wait… That lady looks familiar”.. She was my mom, crying with outstretched arms towards me…Seeing the crowd and her worried face, I could guess she made a wide search before reaching there..

“Oh my God.. We are screwed!!”

We climbed down as fast as possible and approached mom fearfully.. But she reacted in the most unexpected way.. She hugged me tight and kissed me.. She continued crying, “please never go anywhere without informing me”..
