Ever witnessed a one-to-one kabaddi?? Come on, visualise such an event reading my story…
This story is about a poor little girl who was tortured in the name of kabaddi by a gigantic girl..
First let me tell about real kabaddi..
I just googled, copied and pasted this part..
Kabaddi is a popular, easy-to-learn team contact sport with its roots in the millennia-old history of ancient India and South Asia. The basic rules of Kabaddi are simple: two teams of seven players each face off in a large square arena for two halves of twenty minutes each. Players from each team take turns running across the center line to the other team’s half of the court, tagging members of the other team, and running back. The more opposing team members they tag, the more points they score, but if the opposing team can physically prevent them from crossing back to their side of the court, they score no points!
The real story
I portrayed myself as the villain of this story..
Yes, I was that gigantic girl and the little girl was my friend Jak.. She was my relative cum neighbour.. Her family lived near our home for about an year and then shifted to some other place… I might be the reason, God only knows!!
It was during my summer holidays… I used to play with her every afternoon.. Playing under-the-tree-games like chitti yekkal (using 5 small stones) and pallankuzhi (using tamarind seeds) is ok, but playing kabaddi right under the sun is toooo much..
I liked playing kabaddi with her because she was just half the size of mine… She used to hesitate every time, but her mom who believed me to be a good girl, made her come… I was a studious girl then… So my neighbours believed me to be a good girl…😁😁
Our surrounding is full of white sand.. Imagine how it would be on a hot sunny afternoon.. I selected such a spot for our kabaddi field.. Then a big rectangle was drawn using my bare foot.. It was then divided into two rectangles by a line through the centre…Kabaddi court set👍
I was in one side and she was forced to be in the other side…I remember her standing there frightened.. I easily scored every time..I used my whole strength holding her and tearing her clothes… OMG!!! How cruel I was!!
But she or her mom never complained… We continued playing together..After they shifted, I couldn’t meet her for years..
Recently, just a month ago, I got to meet her… She is a mother of two kids now.. She came to my home seeking some medical advice.. On seeing her, I jumped in joy, “she is that kabaddi girl kabaddi girl”, to my hubby…
God bless her and her family.. 😃 😃
