“Tank you”

What if I wake up one morning just to find out my memories are lost??!!!! OMG!! Here’s my way to capture some of my favourite memories…

The hero of this story turned out to be the most important person of my life..

Singing competition

I think it happened when I was in my 3rd std.. I’m not sure..

My mootha daddy was a member of some mantram.. They planned a singing competition in my village.. He, who knew about my angelic voice and singing abilities, asked me to participate… LOL!!

My akka Sel immediately took charge of training me..

“Poo pookum osai”

It was the time when audio CDs started emerging.. Mootha daddy, who was a gadget lover, equipped his home with the latest music player system which he bought from Dubai.

Akka Sel digged into the stack of CDs and found this awesome album by ARR “MINSARA KANAVU”.. Lyrics were written on the paper in CD case.. We selected poo pookum osai song and she trained me that afternoon..

Musical evening

Here comes the best part of the story.. Kid me was all set to meet kid hero.. The singing competition started.. We were given token numbers and accordingly we were waiting in a queue behind the screen..

Just infront of me was standing a boy with I-know-everything face and dressed in a suit on that summer evening… Thanks to his mom’s sense of dressing..lol.. Ooohhh I realised.. He was that over-smart lil brother of akka Sel’s best friend..

It was his turn to sing.. He started singing a song which I don’t remember.. The only thing I remember is his words before leaving “tank you”,to the audience, not to me…

His performance was better than mine.. Might be trained hard by his mom Yuvan Sankar Raja.. Rofl!!!

And this lil guy turned out to be the love of my life!!!
